Estes Park Yoga

Adrienne

I started practicing yoga in September 2009 looking for a way to balance the stress of graduate school. I fell in love with it right away, as a way to get out of my overthinking brain and into my body. Four months later in January 2010 I shattered my L1 and L2 vertebrae in a snowboarding fall. Though I could not perform many (or any) of the postures to the full expression, I continued to get myself to yoga class daily while in a full body brace and wheelchair.  I worked on the fundamentals: breathing, connecting with my body parts and contracting my muscles, mental focus. After six months I was practicing without a brace.

I went to teacher training in LA in the spring of 2011 and since graduating have taught yoga throughout the US and internationally, as well as continuing my education with additional 500 and 200 hour Yoga Alliance certifications.

I live here in Estes Park with my husband and 2 young daughters, and I'm so happy to be able to share the countless benefits of yoga with Estes Park.
