These exercises optimize energy within the body, mind, and spirit, with the goal of improving balance, health and well-being.  The exercises are done standing and moving slowly. Done properly (without cheating) they are much more challenging than they seem.

Qigong is a part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) focused on general health and wellbeing.  We will be exploring a variety of forms, some of which are 4,000 to 7,000 years old.

Tai Chi originated as an ancient martial art, but over the years it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation.  We will focus on relaxation, with the goal of finding energy flow through a series of movements.

Some of the benefits of these practices include:

-Strengthening of tendons, ligaments and joints

-Accelerated recovery from illness and surgery
